You wouln’t think it was even possible to come up with this stuff, but a group of apparently dozens of people showed up at the LHC protesting against the cruelties that the accelerator will expose the colliding hadrons for. Yes hadrons, the subatomic particles composed of quarks.
This marks another collision of the worlds stupidest and some of the worlds smartest people. I wonder what kind of people choses to give their time to a cause that they have absolutely no clue about. Do they think hadrons are some kind of living beings? If they really don’t want hadrons to be hurt, I’d say they are going to have a pretty hard time living their lives.

You really should look into who it is actually making these claims. From what i’ve gathered anyway, there hasn’t been one PHYSICIST claiming anything about doomsday. In fact, the guy who started this whole mess, is a biochemist! Biochemists are scientists for sure, but they are NOT physicists, let alone theoretical particle physicists. These are two completely separate worlds, and there is extremely little crossover between particle physics and biochemistry. So i’m 100% sure that this guy does not have the knowledge or expertise to even make educated guesses about this.
Are you really going to protest anything just because someone says it might cause the end of the world? No matter how thoroughly it gets refuted by people who ARE authorities on the matter? ANYONE can claim that life will end tomorrow and link it to any event, are you going to protest that as well?
